Access to treatment and harm reduction for drug users in custody
The ACCESS project is a European initiative aimed at bringing together organisations from different EU member states to contribute to the knowledge base and practice of harm reduction services, with the aim of improving access to treatment for drug users within the criminal justice system in European countries.
| ACCESS has received co-funding through the EU Drugs Prevention and Information Programme. The project will address the general objectives of the Drugs Prevention and Information Programme related to the prevention and reduction of drug use, dependence and drug related harms and contribute to the information on drug use. The project will focus on the development and implementation of “approaches to reduce drug-related harm to drug users in prisons and/or on release from prison and improve their access to treatment.” |
